The Seaward Ranges Extended Scenic Flight – 35 minutes

This spectacular scenic flight takes you from soaring alpine landscapes to dramatic coastal scenery in one unforgettable journey. After take off, we climb to approximately 6,000 feet for true mountain flying as we pass behind the Kaikōura Ranges, offering breathtaking views of rugged peaks, waterfalls, and if you have a sharp eye, wild deer. 

From the mountains, we continue over the striking blue waters of Lake Hapuku before tracking past Mt Alexander and descending toward the Clarence River mouth. From here, enjoy sweeping views as we follow the northern coastline, where black sand beaches meet the deep blue Pacific Ocean.

Your pilot will guide you along the shoreline toward the Kaikōura Peninsula, offering a bird’s eye view of one of New Zealand’s most iconic landscapes. Look out for surfers at the famous Mangamaunu surf break before circling the peninsula, where resident seals can often be seen resting along the rocky coastline.
